We are a growing community of intergenerational women who desire to faithfully pursue Jesus and help lead others to do the same. We believe in building an authentic community of Kingdom-minded women who say “YES” to where God leads them, no matter how risky it might feel. We are so glad you are here!

We Are Live Salted!
MOMENTS
February 1, 2016 marked the beginning of Live Salted when Krista Breilh, a Senior at Chapman University, launched Salt out of the shed in her backyard. Following a few short weeks later on April 9, 2016, we were already holding our first conference. At that conference, more than three-hundred ladies showed up from all over Southern California to attend. Fast forward to 2021 when we were deciding where we wanted to hold our Legacy Conference Tour. It felt only natural that we head back to Orange, California where our story began.
On March 19, 2022, more than one hundred women gathered together at Refuge OC, just a few blocks past the iconic Orange Circle, for a day of worship, learning, growing, processing, and fellowship. From friends we had never met before to those around from the very beginning, the room was large, but felt as homey as the living room of a spacious house.
There is something unique about the culture the Lord has created within Salt that has this contagious ability for women to show up as they are with this sense of freedom to experience the day however they need!
The evening before the conference, we gathered as a team to share a meal and pray intentionally for the Lord to reveal His desires for the following day. This year, as we were all cuddled together on the ground of a living room accompanied by some guitars in the background, we all got the sensation that what our attendees, and ourselves, were needing the most was rest. A space to truly come and sit at the feet of Jesus.
Making a few last minute song and content decisions to respond to this Holy Spirit nudge, we prayerfully started off the day creating space to sit and think as the band slowly built into our first worship set. Afterwards, Krista kicked us off by sharing the importance of knowing where we are in order to know how to move forward. She created space for personal journaling time so that we could all actively respond to that need to self-assess how we are doing and what the Lord is trying to do in our hearts and souls in real time.
As the day went on we were able to hear from Emily Jamieson, Vivian Mabuni, Tracy Daugherty, Eden DeLaVara, Lauren Ferree Bash and more as we sat back and soaked in what they were teaching, or actively engaged in what they were equipping us in, or laughing as we listened in with attentive ears to what the panelist were sharing. One of the most iconic parts was when Vivian was talking about “salting it” and she went from the simple thumb and index finger motion to full on dumping out a bucket of salt for how we were all seeing the Spirit move in that space!
There is something special that happens when the Spirit falls and freedom is felt. Strangers turn into friends. Burdens are brought to the light and lose their power. Confidence increases as we are reminded that it doesn’t come from the world around us but our identity in Jesus. Dreaming starts to happen again as we are reminded we are not confided to the things we can see, hear and touch but are rather empowered by the Spirit Jesus gave to us!
As a team we questioned at times the importance or even feasibility of gathering together again post Covid but as we look back at what the Lord did through these Legacy Conferences we are so thankful we listened to His invitation and followed His lead through it all.

In October of 2021 when the planning for Legacy began percolating, our core team knew we were going to need help to make the conference season happen. In faith, we launched an application online as well as started doing some personal recruitment. Never would we have imagined the team the Lord would have brought together to make this year’s conferences happen. Each and every women on the team played such a crucial role in shaping the entire experience.
To celebrate all of our hard work and the hours we spent on Zoom (our team spanned three different time zones so we had never all be in the same physical space), the Lord made it possible for us to spend this conference weekend together! By the help of some amazing donors we were able to rent out an Airbnb in Orange and pack it full of all eight gals on our planning team as well as other volunteers for the weekend who flew/drove in. So while we had the conference on Saturday, we were all enjoying the beauty of community and connection all weekend long!
It was such a treat to be able to soak in and enjoy the fruit of our labor, which we know is not always a guarantee when it comes to Kingdom work, so when it happens – we do our best to sit in it! Madison Cooper, Kayla Holmes, Emma Rooker, Rachel Sotzin, Rachael Baer, Cassidy Buchanan and Kailyn Pennock thank you SO much for all you did to make this conference season happen, we are SO thankful for you!!
