How can we keep up with our crazy schedules and still walk with the Lord each day? Here are her tips on how to still find Jesus even with a crazy schedule.
But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. – Matthew 6:33
Looking at this verse always reminds me of where my priorities SHOULD lie and how often times I find myself falling short of the time that I need to spend with Jesus. Let’s be honest, college is madness. Between homework, and essays, and midterms, and extracurricular activities, and just trying to figure our entire life, it’s not always easy finding the time to properly function as a human let alone finding the time for God. Our spiritual health is one of the biggest things that can suffer whilst in college if we aren’t actively trying to pursue and spend time with God every day. Making time for God every day you say? But how? Here are ten little tidbits you can try to get that much needed Jesus time back into your crazy college-filled lives.
Ahhh the wonderful sticky note, used for keeping tabs on study notes, organizing basically anything you could think of, and leaving passive-aggressive notes to roommate when they leave one too many dishes in the sink. You know what else they can be used for?! BIBLE VERSES. Write some of your favorite verses on a sticky note and stick them onto the mirror of your bathroom as you get ready in the morning. It’s also a great way to memorize verses OR you can switch things up every week and have a verse of the week. Whatever you choose to do this is going to be a fun and simple way to dive into the word even when you’re in a hurry.
One of my favorite things to do is save pictures of verses that really stick out to me and set them as the background on my computer or phone (another way to memorize verses or remind yourself of God). I also love to go on and look for articles about faith and tips about how to read and journal about the bible. Seriously, look up anything about faith on Pinterest and you will find something. This is fun, fast, simple, and a great way to find some great religious material.
Podcasts are a life savior when you are on the go or when your schedule gets in the way of Church. Podcasts are also a great way to pass time on long drives or to listen to while you’re doing chores and getting ready in the morning.

Worship is worship. Whether that is in the car, shower, or your kitchen while your cooking some yummy food. Sing your heart out and praise Jesus whenever and wherever you can!
This can be either the easiest or hardest thing for you to do depending on the type of person you are. I personally always struggle with making a specific time for God every day because of my constantly changing schedule but no excuses! God needs to be a priority and if he is you will find and make time to spend with Jesus. If you can figure out a specific time in the day that you can stick to no matter what, make God time a part of your daily routine.
YouTube is another wonderful way to find some great sermons, messages, and pastors you can fangirl over. You may even find a speaker you like so much that you subscribe to their channel and become a daily watcher. Just another outlet for hearing and learning more about God and expanding our minds and views.
There are some wonderful bible apps out there that send out daily bible verses, a great way and quick way to get a bit of bible reading into your day, find some great bible verses, and reminding yourself to God about your day with God.
Who doesn’t love getting together with your best bud for some coffee and deep conversation about Jesus? This is a win-win all across the board because while you are strengthening your relationship with God you are also strengthening a relationship with a fellow sister of God and relationships are a key part to any faith.
Again, Jesus doesn’t care where or when you pray you just gotta DO IT!!! Pray about your problems, what your thankful for, what your worried about I mean the list goes on and on you just gotta take initiative and pray your heart out.
Finding silent time to be with God even if it’s just a few minutes sitting in silence, clearing your mind, and focusing/listening to God. It sounds simple but can make all the difference in how you approach your day and your relationship with God.
(I would like to note that while I am giving these tips it is not a replacement for the essentials God tells us we need in our life like the Church, discipleship, and reading our Bible. These tips are for when life gets a little too crazy and you know despite everything you need Jesus in your day because, realistically, we need him every day.)
