Saying Yes to the Abundant Life in Jesus

On January 21, 2017, women gathered from all over the Seattle area to say “yes” to a full day of worship, teaching and community.
It was Salt’s first time occupying such a large venue, and we felt inspired being there, vision casting for what big plans God might have for our ministry and our community.
We heard from Emily Jamieson, Robin Verner, Krista Hengesh as well as an amazing panel of women. Some ladies came knowing what to expect, others didn’t, but it is safe to say that people walked out of those doors different than they walked in. Thank you Jesus for giving us the platform to create spaces to bring people together. We are so thankful!

When People Stand Up the Stage Doesn’t Get Smaller, it Grows
While talking about our uniqueness and God’s individual design for our lives, Emily Jamieson reminded us of a truth that has become a stake in the ground, a turning point for many of our lives. She reminded us that when we step up and say “yes” to the calling God has put on our lives it doesn’t make this metaphorical stage any smaller, it actually grows the stage and creates more space for others to join!
In the world’s perspective, we operate with a mindset of scarcity and this idea that if “you win” then “i lose”; however, in God’s kingdom, that couldn’t be further away from the truth.
We are all created to shine and to bring into existence what God created us to do. When we play small and don’t partner with Him in our callings we are actually holding the world back from experiencing life to the full. We pray this truth can remind you pray big prayers and task risks and discover all that God has for you!
