Jesus, and Jesus alone made this conference happen. How else do fourteen Americans find themselves across the world in Wellington, New Zealand putting on a conference for women of all generations, and we mean women of all generations? We had ladies between the ages of 15 to 80 and it felt like a little slice of heaven.
It wasn’t more than four months prior to this event, that the idea of putting on a conference in New Zealand over our Spring Break in American plopped into our minds. It has always been a pipe dream for our ministry, but we never knew if it could be possible. Well, as we know, with God all things are possible. The team raised over $26,000 to make this trip happen, and what a blessing it was for the whole team and everyone who was able to attend the conference. Worshiping in Mauri, the native language of New Zealand, and meshing two cultures together to worship the Lord was so special. We hope this isn’t the first and last time we get to come to New Zealand and put on an event!

Bringing the Gospel to the Nations
We knew when we said ‘yes’ to making this trip happen, that there were going to be some surprises and lessons for us to learn that we never could have imagined, and the Lord did not disappoint. One, of the many, things the team walked away from this experience was an understanding of the importance to bring the Gospel TO people. To go after those who need it, and make it accessible. The church that we were able to host our event at as the church that Emma Davision, a Kiwi who we met at a conference in Portland, OR only a year earlier, had grown up in, and, the last time the church had a women’s event was when Emma’s mom put it on twenty years earlier. Where they live specifically in Upper Hutt, a small town outside of Wellington they don’t have speakers or events pass through because they are so small, but we believed that is the exact reason why the Lord brought us there. He wanted to remind us of what He goes through to pursue us and make His Gospel known to us. What would it look like if we went out of our way to bring the Gospel to the people God calls us to?
