Quick Background

For those of you who are new around here, first off welcome! We are so glad you are here. A short background on Live Salted, is that it was founded back in 2016 when I was a senior in college. All throughout my undergrad years, I found myself looking for resources to help me in my pursuit of Jesus. The school I attended didn’t have any clubs I could be a part of, and without a car, there weren’t any churches I could attend in walking distance. I looked online, and even there, it was hard to find what my soul needed and wanted to be encouraged in my relationship with Jesus.

Between my freshman and senior year, the Lord graciously allowed a Bible study to start through my sorority, which eventually grew into a club I chartered called Delight Ministries. This club grew to over 60 women gathering at my house on a Monday night, and I recognized I was no longer the only one looking for community centered on Jesus. My junior year, I studied abroad and even there met friends who were looking for more support in their faith journey.

Senior year, the Lord made it very evident there was an invitation on my life to fill the gap I kept seeing.

February 1, 2016 we launched our blog and website in hopes of establishing some credibility for our first conference we were planning on hosting two months later in April. Beyond any of our wildest imaginations, 300 women showed up and the rest is history.

Over the past seven years we have had the privilege of hosting events in Washington, Oregon, California, Texas and even New Zealand! We have written and published four different studies and created so much content online. We’ve worked with amazing volunteers, writers, employees, contractors and made some incredible life-changing friendships along the way.

It’s been the most incredible journey, and one that only God could have written and been responsible for bringing to life. We really do hope this is just the beginning.

About 10 Months Ago

Right after our last conference tour in 2022, Legacy, the Lord made it evident it was time to pull back our forward facing ministry and tend to our structural foundation. There was an invitation to intentionally dream with God for a season to align our actions with His plans, and that is what we did. For the past ten months, our Director of Operations and Events, Rochelle Hagenlocher (which you can see more of her story here), and I sat with Jesus and prayed over what we had been doing and what He wanted us to focus on. We also tended to some of our backend needs, so whatever would come when we launched back into ministry, we could support it from the financial, fundraising, support and legal side. There were a lot of meetings, Google docs, phone calls, and prayer which has led us to where we are today, which we cannot wait to tell you more about.

New Clarity and Direction

As we head into year eight, we are so expectant for how the Lord is going to move and meet us in the clarity and new direction He has helped us define. Below you will see a few of those areas outlined.
