MOMENTS
There is something about getting away for the weekend next to the water, with your friends that allows you to just settle in and slow down. To temporarily pause from all the crazy happening in your life, and to just be. It also helps when the Monday after the weekend is Presidents Day and you have a day to adjust and re-enter society.
Over Presidents Day weekend, Live Salted came together with a handful of other ministries from the University of Washington and put on a weekend retreat up on Whidbey Island, Washington at Camp Casey. 70 ladies gathered together, united as one body, to learn what it meant to live a life of unity and to fight against the enemy’s schemes of division and separation. We talked about how to be for one another in friendship, how to fight for your quiet time with the Lord and how to have positive self-talk and view of yourself. It truly was an amazing weekend, and we believe we all could have stayed there for much longer than just two nights. I guess this means we might have to do another one in the future!
Literally a life-changing weekend. – Undivided Retreat Attendee

After this weekend I’m coming to peace with a situation from my past and experiencing forgiveness in that. – Undivided Retreat Attendee
Have you ever been in a situation where someone prays a line or shares an idea and it resonates deeply with almost everyone in the room? Where everyone’s souls almost instantly agree with what was said? That is exactly what happened when Emily Jamieson, our keynote speaker, prayed that the Holy Spirit would blow through this camp and awaken all of the ladies who had come out for this retreat. We didn’t think much about that prayer until the last day at camp when the weather had turned a little from bright blue skies to cloudy, on and off rain and pretty windy. It was one of those days that the weather didn’t know what it wanted to do. We were praying that the rain could clear at sunset so we could go out as a crew and take a group photo down by the water. A few minutes before we had scheduled to go down there the rain cleared up, but you know what didn’t – the wind. It had picked up like we hadn’t seen it all day. It was gushing and SO strong! But as we were all walking out there to take our photo, it dawned on someone that this was exactly what Emily had prayed for. That we had prayed the Holy Spirit would sweep through the camp like a gushing, wild wind! As people started to hear about that prayer, we all couldn’t help but smile at how creative the Lord is and how He loves us and responds to our prayers in such unique ways. Between the crazy wind storm, and our EPIC dance party later on that night everyone was laughing hysterically and filled with so much joy. It was the perfect evening to end our time up at Camp Casey.
