The Power of Saying “Yes” to Jesus

Never did we think we would find ourselves doing a college tour through Texas, but there we were, standing amazed by the plans the Lord had for us!
One day, Krista Hengesh and Rachel Brusca were talking and praying about what the Lord wanted next for Live Salted. That day, one of their board members shared that he would be going on a work trip through Texas. The gal’s wheels started turning with the news (of course) and the next thing we knew, we were in full planning mode for a college tour through Texas!
We posted on socials, asking, “who wants us to visit them in Texas?” and four ROCKSTAR ladies responded. As with so many God moments, we know it was no accident that the gals who replied to us, were the gatekeepers for making events happen.
It’s truly amazing—the power of a “yes.”
Think, if those four ladies hadn’t said “yes” and gone to the effort of finding the venues, marketing the event, and locating housing for the Salt team, our four Texas stops would not have happened.
If you are reading this, be encouraged that the Lord will use your “yes” to do more than you could ever imagine!
We made stops in San Marcos, Nacogdoches, Waco, and Fort Worth. We love how each Texas city had its own unique charm and personality.

An Undivided Heart
Can we agree that we all crave to be undivided? We crave to mean what we say and say what we mean. We crave harmony and connection in our friendship and relationships. We desire to be so close and in tune with the Lord that we hear Him at every point in our lives. To be undivided is the goal, but it is a hard goal to accomplish and it is one that we will never be able to accomplish outside of the Lord’s doing, His help, and His strength. On this tour, we talked all about what it looks like to be undivided with God, ourselves, and others. It was a powerful time to dive into Scripture and see what the Lord has to say about all of it.
Our biggest takeaway was that to live undivided, we must begin by walking in proximity to the Lord. The closer we are to Jesus, the nearer we are to fullness within ourselves and with others. It all starts and stems for our intimacy with our Father in heaven!
