Our Kick Off Stop: Seattle

On February 2, 2019 we kicked off our Even When Conference Tour at Quest Church in Seattle, Washington. Between now and the end of our tour, we will have put on an event in Washington, California, Oregon, and New Zealand! Oh how the Lord uses us in ways we could have never imagined!
Starting off our conferences on our home turf has always been a good move for us as there is so much to do to get a conference together, and this year we were equally thankful we started off in Seattle. It was such a blessing watching the Live Salted Student Leadership Team come together and stuff all our new enamel pins and prints into their plastic sleeves and to watch them fold the merchandise and set up our popup shop. It is so much more enjoyable when a team comes together to put on an event rather than one person trying to do it all.
As 9 a.m. rolled around, streams of ladies continued to pour into the venue with big smiles on their faces expectant for what they were going to experience throughout the day and hungry to encounter God in a new way and be refreshed in their faith.

Every conference is different. Every conference has a different vibe, personality and message but what we have seen to be true over all the years is that God shows up and He meets His children right where they are. God is always pursuing, always chasing, always loving and when we create a day to sit and bask in that it is hard to walk away not refreshed by His Spirit!

Even When Attendee
Ministry Moments Before Lunch
At a typical conference, there is a big ministry moment when attendees go up for prayer or walk to the side of the venue for a heart-to-heart with a person on the team at the end of the event. There is something so powerful about that last set of worship when you have been refreshed and renewed in your understanding of God and His incredible love for you that you can’t help but sing louder, pray harder and be more filled with gratitude as you think about all He has done for you.
A New Approach to Worship + Prayer
However, this time around, as a team, we reexamined that moment and wondered why we had to wait until the end of the day? Why couldn’t we create a space for people to respond and sing praises or come forward for healing and freedom earlier in the day? We couldn’t find a reason why we shouldn’t, so we added another worship set and time for ministry right before lunch and it was such a good, heavenly-inspired idea!
Only a few hours into the event, women were given the chance to come to the front and ask for prayer or ask for healing or freedom. And it was a space that we created that shifted the rest of the event. It helped women feel more connected and open earlier on in the day and allowed for more space to receive God later on. That was a pivot moment for us as a ministry, and it is a pivot that we will probably continue to take to many years to come!
