MOMENTS
You’re running on minimal sleep. You frequent Starbucks (and your Keurig) way too often. The library becomes your second home. And you are counting down the days until you can finally start that Netflix series you’ve been dying to watch.
It’s that time of year we all know and dread…finals.
Finals can be a hectic time where we can become easily overwhelmed by the chaos around us. It can seem like we don’t have enough time, we cannot keep our eyes open, and we despise the professors who did not provide study guides for a cumulative final.
In this time, it is easy to simply mutter the phrase “Turn To God”.
This time, I want you to turn to God with GRATITUDE.
Gratitude for what He has put in your life.
Our wonderful Lord has given you the opportunity be to make your biggest worry whether you get an A in O-Chem or finish that Ethics paper.
HOW BLESSED ARE WE THAT THESE ARE OUR WORRIES?
We have been so blessed with the opportunity to pursue a higher education. I encourage you in these stressful times to take a step backward, turn your eyes to God, and thank Him.
Through practicing gratitude, we can lessen our stress. Our worries suddenly become minute.
We will pass that final. We will finish that essay. We will persevere and He will be holding our hand, skipping alongside us, encouraging us along the entire way.
In practicing gratitude (I challenge you to this as well), I am thankful for Finals.
“When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy.” – Psalm 94:19
