Have you ever prayed a bold prayer—and then forgotten you prayed it?
I did.
It wasn’t eloquent or long.
It wasn’t prayed from a place of strength.
It came from a heart surrendered.
“God, if You can use me—put me in the fight.”
I didn’t know what that would look like. I just knew I couldn’t sit on the sidelines anymore while millions of women and children were trapped in human trafficking.
Before that moment, I had already walked through abuse, addiction, rejection, and identity struggles. I knew what it felt like to be overlooked, dismissed, and stuck in a cycle of shame.
But everything shifted the moment I encountered Jesus.
His love didn’t just save me—it reached into the places I believed were too broken to be healed and began to restore me from the inside out.
It was in those places of deep pain that I discovered the heart of God—not just for me, but for others still trapped in their own darkness. And in that moment of surrender, I learned what the apostle Paul meant when he said:
“It wasn’t my strength that God used; it was my surrender. His power met me in my weakness, and I watched Him turn brokenness into boldness.”
-Glorie Tiumalu
As healing took root, I couldn’t shake the feeling that my story wasn’t just for me. I had walked through too much to keep quiet about what God had done. So I started saying yes to whatever He placed in front of me—leading Bible studies, going on mission trips, and showing up for women carrying pain I understood all too well.
I didn’t have it all figured out.
But I knew what it felt like to be stuck and searching for a way out.
So I gave what I had—my time, my story, my heart—and used it to point people to Jesus.
Even while doing all these meaningful things, God was doing something within me. He was stretching my faith and stirring something deeper within me. It wasn’t about doing more—it was about stepping further into the purpose He was revealing.
He created me on purpose, for a purpose and I was finally stepping into it.
That’s when I prayed this prayer:
“God, if You can use me—put me in the fight.”
That simple, surrendered prayer led to launching Beautiful Fight—a movement born not out of perfection, but out of pain transformed by purpose.
God didn’t use me because I was strong.
“Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering.”
—Romans 12:1 (MSG)
That’s all I had to offer—and it was more than enough for Him to work with.
The Beautiful Fight is about fighting for something bigger than ourselves. It’s a mission to inform, inspire, and give back—to fight for freedom, justice, and restoration alongside God. We are an online store with physical locations in Washington, Oregon, Texas, and Florida featuring more than 50 small businesses and nonprofits selling products that then fund the fight against human trafficking. The products we sell at Beautiful Fight are used as gifts by more than 100 ministries around the world.. Many of the products we highlight in our shop are made by survivors of human trafficking, fair trade artisans, or brands giving back to the fight.
Last year, we supported seven strip club and street outreach teams with monthly gifts—and now we’re building our own outreach team to keep loving and serving our community.
This journey hasn’t been easy. But it’s been impactful. We’ve had to pivot, pray, and press forward. And through it all, we’ve seen the beauty of community rising up around a cause that matters.
If I’ve learned anything along the way, it’s this:
God doesn’t need perfect people to make an impact.
He moves through the ones willing to pray bold prayers—the kind that costs us our comfort but call us into our calling.
That simple prayer—“Put me in the fight” still shapes how I serve and show up.
It reminds me that this fight isn’t just against injustice.
It’s for people.
For the girl who feels invisible.
For the survivor searching for worth.
For the woman who thinks her past disqualifies her from purpose.
And maybe … It’s for you, too.
If you’re wondering whether God can use your story—He can.
If you’re waiting to feel qualified—He already sees you as chosen.
“If you’ve been hiding on the sidelines—maybe it’s time to pray what I did. ‘Put me in the fight.'”
-Glorie Tiumalu
You might be surprised what God can do with your “yes”.
Glorie Tiumalu is a speaker, pastor, and passionate advocate in the fight against human trafficking. She founded Beautiful Fight, a movement dedicated shining light on injustice, sharing stories of freedom, and empowering survivors toward restoration. Once bound by abuse, addiction, and an identity issue, Glorie encountered Jesus in her brokenness. His love healed her and gave her purpose, and now she’s committed to helping others experience that same freedom.
